The initiative aims to provide training for managers and professionals who work in the field of prevention of violence , and those who are interested in gender and masculinity themes and seek additional knowledge and skills to change the existing norms of masculinity in order to reduce violence in society.
Center for Equality Advancement, in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius, organized a two -day workshop for professionals working in the field of prevention of violence , and those who are interested in gender and masculinity topics. Workshop was led by specifically for the event invited expert from the U.S. – Rus Funk . This expert is working in violence prevention field for more than ten years. He has developed techniques of working with perpetrators, in order to change their behavior and also to change public discourse of violance.
There was also a round table discussion on ” How to effectively involve men in the fight against violence in family.”
The project was supported by the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius.
