This project aims to empower youth to exercise their active citizenship based on social cohesion and diversity. It targets youth in a complex way and combines educational activities with active participation of young people in the number of events. 2 quizzes, 2 workshops, publishing and dissemination of thematic postcards (10000 units), civil street action, photographs’ contest and photo exhibition „Images of tolerance” was organized. Project goal is to broaden the youth’s perception about diversity and active involvement in creating democratic society in Lithuania. 250 participants of the quizzes and 24 participants of the social workshops gained knowledge and competences to cooperate and work in team. Active participation in civil street action motivated young people to develop understanding of citizenship based on cohesion and respect of diversity. Photo contest and exhibition accumulated the creative energy and innovative ideas of the young people to empower them for active participation.
