The initiative was implemented through the European Social Fund project ” Gates:  Corporate Social and Environmental Innovation” , accomplished by the United Nations Development Programme in Lithuania together with partners. Goal of the project – to create the necessary conditions for the development of corporate social responsibility in Lithuania and encourage their work to apply its principles to competitive , safe and clean environment, social cohesion , transparency and ethical business practices .

This project was implemented by the Government of Lithuania in 2010 under The National Corporate Social Responsibility Development Program . It was the first time of public funding for business and non-governmental organizations partnership to strengthen the principles of corporate social responsibility (CSR ) in business. These initiatives are an experiment in which non-governmental organizations, within 12 months, will work together with companies to encourage business to be more responsible to the environment , personal , transparent, and to take more account of the cornerstones of human rights.

The initiative experts analysed the needs of employees combining work and family responsibilities, and services geared to the needs of the family , and made ​​recommendations . It was organized 7 trainings for 60 employees,20 representatives of the administration and 15 – company clients. The discussion were held in order to talk about harmonization of work and family policies,  prevention issues of equal opportunities and harassment. At the end of initiative, it was organized a round table discussion at the Hotel Association ‘s annual meetings in Vilnius and Druskininkai municipalities , supplemented by internal rules governing the documents and informal CSR report in the field of the labor relations ( family-friendly measures and Equal Opportunities assurance ) . The company was incorporated in the Corporate Responsibility Global Compact network.
